Friends of Madison Park’s Music in the Park concert series returns this Thursday 8/22 from 6:30-8pm! This week, bring your picnic blanket, your family and friends, and your dancing shoes for some groovy tunes from Seattle band, Red 28! Be sure to pick up treats, beverages and other goodies at any of Madison Park’s selection of great restaurants.
Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated! Your support helps ensure that Music in the Park comes back year after year.
Raffle tickets will be available for 1 for $5 and 3 for $10. Prizes are generously donated by your local Madison Park businesses.
Tonight’s Band: Red 28
Red 28 is a new project started by siblings Johanna Haraldsdottir and Gudmundur Haraldsson from Iceland. Both of them have been playing music for a long time and were inspired by their father, Haraldur Gunnlaugsson, to start creating music together. The band has a wide mix of influences from many directions such as blues, jazz, disco and pop. Red 28 will be showcasing
some new original songs as well a bulky list of covers. We hope to see you there and we guarantee a good time!
