MCGILVRA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STAYS OPEN!!!
Seattle Public Schools leaders named four schools they plan to close next year as part of an effort to alleviate a $100 million budget shortfall. Thanks to the heroic and tireless work of so many , McGilvra Elementary School is no longer on the list of schools earmarked for closure in 2025!!
Still, this does not guarantee stability for neighborhood schools in the future- there are many more tasks ahead for the legislature and the community. Attend our Neighborhood Meeting this coming Monday, October 28 at 6:30 at the Bathhouse to learn more details. FoMP will continue to keep you updated as we learn more.

LAKE COURT APARTMENTS LANDMARK NOMINATION HEARING NOVEMBER 6TH.
Friends of Lake Court Apartments has their hearing to establish the apartment complex as an Historic Landmark on November 6th. Their representatives spoke at our neighborhood meeting this year; if you would like to submit a letter of support by November 5th, go HERE.
