Spa Jolie

Pedicures, manicures, facials, and perfect eyebrows: Spa Jolie has been pampering Madison Parkers from head to toe since 2005. The pretty salon is a popular neighborhood hub, buzzing with lively conversations. You’re bound to see someone you know at one of the manicure tables or pedicure chairs. 

Spa Jolie – with its extensive menu of nail, facial, waxing, and brow services – was a natural career choice for owner Nancy Tran. “I’ve worked as a nail technician and done skin care since I was 18,” she says, “It’s been my lifelong passion.” (That passion for skin care dates back to her childhood; as a 12-year-old, she practiced on her friends.)  

The salon is open six days a week to serve a clientele which has come to feel like family to Nancy. “Madison Park is a second home to me. People are so friendly and I am very grateful to be here.” Nancy credits her “amazing crew” – which includes five nail technicians – with the salon’s success. “We are always learning from each other.”

 As many of her longtime clients know, Nancy grew up in Vietnam. She moved to the United States 30 years ago, along with her mother and two sisters. Her sister Kelly assists her in the salon – as does her son, a UW student, during the summer months. 

It’s hard to imagine Nancy ever relaxing, but when she does get the chance, she enjoys taking walks and going to the beach.
