FOR YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE

Monday, January 29th at 6:30, our next Neighborhood Meeting at the Madison Park Bathhouse, will cover a number of topics important to the community. See the Agenda here.

As Friends explores the possibility of whether Madison Park can create a community center, we want to hear from as many people in the neighborhood as we can reach. The Community Center Committee has created a Survey to ask what improvements you would like to see to the parks, the beach, the existing Bathhouse. We urge you all to take the 10 minutes to answer the survey and submit your responses by February 26th. Friends of Madison Park Improvement Survey

Friends of Madison Park is also in consultation with the Farmers Market Associations in Seattle and we need your feedback on if, where, when and what you would like to see in a Madison Park Farmer’s Market.

The Beautify Madison Park committee is also humming along with plans toward a spruced up Business District. And a planned Garden Tour May 18th. Updates will be presented.

Friends of Madison Park has partnered with Wellspring Family Services, supporting this organization through our Toy Drive in December and Kids’ Toy and Book Swap in January. Learn more about Wellspring services from its director, Thom Murray.

Friends is working closely with the Madison Valley community, highlighting our strong connection as neighbors.. Bert Williams, director of the MLK FAME Community Center (the host for our Second Chance Prom in May) will speak on the offerings from their organization. We are also partnering with MV restaurants for Neighbors Night Out dining. More details TBD shortly.
